Does it cost anything to register? Registration is always free. You pay only for the courses you actually take from CEU-USA. There are never any hidden charges. Why should I register? Registration allows you to enter parts of the site that are not available to non-registered visitors. For example, when you register you will be able to participate in our discussion groups. Registration also allows you to receive our free monthly newsletter, which contains information of interest to counselors, psychotherapists, substance abuse workers, and other mental health professionals. Of course, you can choose not to receive the newsletter. Do I have to register to use your site? No. Feel free to browse any parts of the site you wish. How do I register? Registration is quick and easy. Just click on the "Register" button on our homepage. You will fill out a short form with your identifying information, and choose a username and password for yourself. That's it! Will you sell or give my information to anybody else? No. We will never give or sell your information to any third party. How can I tell if your courses are acceptable to my board for continuing education credit? Your own Board is always the final authority on whether a particular course is acceptable. CEU-USA.com is approved as a Continuing Education Provider by the National Board for Certified Counselors (NBCC Provider No. 6262). Tom Whitehead MA, LPC and Glenda Speegle LCSW, LPC are registered as continuing education providers with the Texas LPC Board (No. 636 and No. 2684). Glenda is also registered as a continuing education provider with the Texas Social Worker Board (No. CS4434). What kinds of payment do you accept? We accept MasterCard, Visa, American Express, Discover, and electronic checks. Is my payment secure? We use PayPal payment acceptance services. All payments are collected using secure methods. You do not have to have a PayPal account in order to use these services. Why do I have to identify myself? Most licensing and certification boards require identification. Should your licensing board select you for an audit, you will be able to easily document that you took and passed your courses. Typically, licensing boards require us to keep records for a minimum of five years. Because we do maintain records, you will be able to print out additional copies of your Certificates of Completion at any time. What is your refund policy? If you aren't happy, we aren't happy. Should one of our courses fail to satisfy you, simply email the webmaster at any point prior to printing your Certificate of Completion. We will cheerfully refund your course fee in full. Please note that refunds cannot be issued after the Certificate of Completion has been printed or mailed. How long will you maintain my records? In compliance with the requirements of licensing and certification boards, we maintain records for a minimum of five years. Why do you ask for my email address? We require a current e-mail address for two reasons. First, it helps us to keep your records secure by reducing the frequency of impersonation -- cases where one person interacts with our web site while pretending to be another person. Second, having an accurate e-mail address is essential to our online payment process, which involves sending our clients a key code via e-mail. Why do you offer free course credits? From time to time we do offer registered members and guests the opportunity to earn continuing education credits without paying a fee. We do this for a couple of reasons. The first reason is promotional. We believe that offering free credits is a good way to keep customers interacting with our web site. The second reason comes from our own experience as practicing psychotherapists. We want to make our visitors and patrons happy, and to give something back to the counseling community. I'm in a hurry. How do I get quick access to one of your online courses? You can be registered and reading one of our online courses in a matter of minutes. Just make payment online using a credit card or an electronic check. Within three to five minutes you will receive an e-mail containing a Key Code. This Code will enable you to enter your online course immediately. Can I print my Certificate of Completion online? Yes. Once you have passed the online course examination, you can immediately view and print your Certificate of Completion. Alternatively, you can elect to receive your Certificate by mail. |
